It’s so cool to see dogs running free, having fun, maybe meeting other dogs. But I’m guessing most owners, like me, also want their dogs to be safe. And owners also want a few luxuries for themselves: well-placed rubbish bins for the poop bags, a bench to sit on, parking, if they had to drive to get to the dog park, access for wheelchairs, pushchairs, kids’ trikes.

And how about not having to slog through mud, or worry about lanes of high-speed traffic, or poison laid out to kill pests?

This is a site for dog owners. Find spots for your dog to run free, safely, and where you can enjoy yourself too.

We can’t review every on or off-leash area for dogs. We’re seeding this site with information we have, but it will work best if you let us know what you know. Is there a dog park in your area that you could tell us about?

Oh, and the park or the dog must be the main focus of the photo.
