Description

Ian Galloway Park is on Whitehead Street near the corner with Curtis Road. It’s a small unfenced grassy area right beside the skateboard ramp. Don’t confuse it with the large sportsfield where dogs aren’t allowed.

I was very pleased with this off-leash area when I arrived to review it and took several photos because it was large and moderately fenced. The problem was I hadn’t actually checked the Council map beforehand and was in the wrong place. We were on the (forbidden) sportsfield.

See the photo of the sign on Page 2 which is poorly placed and doesn’t show which part of the larger park is the actual off-leash area.

I hope to return and take a better photo of the off-leash area.

This is area #23 on the City Council map: Ian Galloway Park (87Kb PDF).

  • An almost flat off-leash area
